As obvious, the Global ROM runs only on phones with Snapdragon processors and the Chinese ROM will run on the MediaTek processors. #Expandable memory note 5 download#Download Developer ROMĪs you might already know, each Xiaomi device has two or more types of ROM associated with it - a Global ROM and a Chinese ROM. This process usually takes 3-4 days and requires you to write to the Mi admins to let you have the developer rights. Xiaomi keeps the bootloader locked to keep the user’s private data safe from counterfeited ROMs or devices. Yet again, this is a prerequisite for flashing your phone as creating an MI account helps you to unlock the bootloader. So before you proceed, make sure that all the apps, data and contacts have been backed up safely on a computer or cloud. Backup All the DataĪforesaid, the process includes flashing a custom ROM into the device which means that you are essentially wiping all the data of the device. So, without further ado, let’s get started.

But this track-by-track approach to the LP centres on the music – the sounds, creation and concept behind one of the most successful, popular and celebrated albums in rock history. Pink Floyd’s 1973 album The Dark Side of the Moon has become legendary for a lot of reasons, including the 741 weeks it spent on the album chart, the iconic cover art and the urban-legend connection to The Wizard of Oz. But when we went into the studio we all knew the material. David Gilmour reckons that playing the songs live beforehand made a big difference. The recording was long – they spent six months in the studio in between tours of Europe, America and Japan – but it wasn’t laborious. For a while Pink Floyd called their planned album Eclipse, but when Medicine Head’s album failed to make any impact they reverted to Plan A. Released in March 1973, over a year after the band had previewed most of the tracks at London’s Rainbow Theatre, Dark Side Of The Moon caught the prevailing feeling perfectly. And like porn, men can go back to Dark Side Of The Moon over and over again. Maybe it’s the simplicity of the ideas that appeal to a generation going though puberty and trying to make sense of it all. There’s certainly something in Roger’s theory, particularly if you accept (as most women do) that most men never get much further than puberty. “The music’s quite compelling but I think there’s something more. Roger Waters, who was the dominant – though not yet dominating – force in the band when they recorded Dark Side Of The Moon, has his own theory. The most notable of these is “ The Dark Side of the Moon”, which achieved a level of commercial success far beyond that of any other progressive rock album before or since. They’d go on to explore some of ‘Moon”s themes - music-business greed, Syd Barrett‘s mental breakdown on later records.released four concept albums during the 1970s The Dark Side of the Moon (1973), Wish You Were Here (1975), Animals(1977), and The Wall (1979). And they marked the occasion with their best concept album, a ‘2001’-like mind-expanding look at the fragility of life, time and sanity through the lens of their own experiences. Pink Floyd‘s eighth album, more or less, was a symbolic break from their past - the moment where their long, drawn-out prog tendencies gave way to tighter, shorter and more focused “song”-oriented tracks. The concert, previously unreleased until it appeared on 2019’s “ Later Years” box set, is now available as CD or double vinyl set for the first time as a stand-alone album. Michael Kamen Keyboards on Comfortably Numb, Run Like HellĬandy Dulfer Sax on Shine On You Crazy Diamond, Money Michael had contributed so much to PF over the previous ten years, it’s great to have something of his playing on the recording.” David Gilmour and Andy Jackson have remixed the audio and the album features new artwork shot by Floyd collaborator Aubrey ‘Po’ Powell of Hipgnosis and designed by Peter Curzon of Storm Studios.Ĭlare Torry Backing Vocals (Lead Vocals on The Great Gig In The Sky) We also had our dear friend Michael Kamen guesting. As a North London boy this was almost a home game, but with the added delight of being the re-assembly of the band after a fairly mega tour that had lasted for well over a year. It was also an opportunity to get the wonderful Candy Dulfer to play – I had been a fan of hers for quite a while, and it was just a shame we didn’t have an opportunity to utilise her for more. “We all still have fond memories of playing there in the 70’s, and this show was no different. “There is something special about Knebworth,” recalls drummer Nick Mason. On the day Pink Floyd – David Gilmour, Nick Mason and Richard Wright were joined by guest musicians including sax player Candy Dulfer and keyboard player and composer Michael Kamen, backing vocalists Clare Torry (the original “ The Great Gig In The Sky” vocalist), Sam Brown and her mother Vicki, and Durga McBroom, and touring band including Guy Pratt, Jon Carin, Tim Renwick and Gary Wallis. The concert was broadcast globally on MTV. all in aid of the Nordoff Robbins charity, profits from which went towards setting up the BRIT School. The concert was part of the star-studded 1990 Silver Clef Winners performance at Knebworth House, which Pink Floyd headlined. The concert, on a wet and windy June 30th, included performances from Paul McCartney, Dire Straits, Genesis, Phil Collins, Mark Knopfler, Robert Plant (with Jimmy Page), Cliff Richard, Eric Clapton and Tears For Fears in front of a crowd of 120,000. Pink Floyd have announced the release of Pink Floyd Live At Knebworth 1990 for the first time on CD, double vinyl and digital platforms on April 30th. The hospitals are among the finest philanthropic missions in this country. #Who are the royal order of jesters freeHe had received free care from the Salt Lake Shrine Hospital as a child that had allowed him to walk. A man perhaps in his twenties came out and said he wanted to shake the hand of every Shriner in that bus. At the truck stop, I had one of those defining moments, curiously. You know, the stuff guys generally do as teenagers, and living up to the mission of putting some of the boy back into the man. It was bitter cold, and we drove through town acting like, well, Shriners, with the top down, yelling what we thought were zingers to pedestrians, and generally lowering the property values. Salt Lake City guys get their bus weighed. Some Shrines get drunk and bring in the strippers. Patrick's day, about a dozen of us fez-wearing loud-mouths (all perfectly sober, I might add) drove to the suburbs to get their 1939 Yellowstone tour bus weighed at the local truck stop. Something slightly less than the Masonic ideal.Īfter the Shrine parade in Salt Lake City on St. I actually had a man try to sell me on Shrine membership by saying, "You can drink all night for five bucks, and besides, we un-f***-up the crippled kids!" Not all men join the Shrine out of the altruism of helping crippled kids. They are looking for the secret society that has the strippers and the hookers and the county sheriff guarding the door who sees they get home okay. There is no wonder that a certain percentage of men who join the Shrine have specifically come looking for the Shrine they've heard about. Lest anyone forget George Carlin's punctuating 1976 punch line, "Drink up, Shriners." Or 1960's "Bye Bye Birdie's" musical number in which a group of Shriners think a young lady straying into their dinner is the stripper for the evening. And while some of us can sit in the parlor and tsk over it being antithetical to the tenets of Freemasonry (which it is), the Babbitry of the past, combined with the Shrine's post-WWII excesses, has been institutionalized by both the Shrine and the public's perception. Shriners, strippers and hookers have been keeping each other company for over a century. On the one hand, for anyone to say they are shocked - shocked! - to discover Shriners having anything to do with prostitutes is intellectually disingenuous. I'll leave you to discover the BTs blog entries on your own for the details, but there are at least two major investigations going on concerning the group involving prostitution and violation of the federal Mann Act. The Jesters are an invitation-only group within Shrinedom whose motto is "mirth is king," and is considered by some to be an inner circle within the organization. There has been much "who-shot-john" going on over at The Burning Taper for the last few weeks over the reporting of scandals involving the Shrine's Royal Order of Jesters.
Unfortunately, a few months ago, it started having more errors. It had very specific abilities regarding layering images and the size/resolution abilities, which I can’t find anywhere else. I’m a freelance digital artist, and after trying dozens of different apps, Polarr was the best. Otherwise I risk needing to figure out whatever adjustments I made to the finished photos when I go back in and need to edit the rest of a batch. Polarr has been my go-to photo editing for several years. It’s counterintuitive, not every batch of photos needs the same edits so I don’t want to have to save a preset any time I need to exit the app for something. Used the software for: Less than 6 months. This is NOT a bad thing because Polarr is perfect for what it does. It's best to use Polarr to fine tune and accent photos rather than heavy duty editing. Exiting the app and re opening the app deletes all edits from photos, even if the edited version is currently saved over the original in your photo gallery. Cons: Polarr is not for any sort of in-depth photo manipulation. #POLARR PHOTO EDITOR REVIEWS HOW TO#Then after that it has these ridiculously annoying pop ups that are always trying to show you their stupid selections feature and how to share your presets with your friends. Every time it logs you out it forces you to look at their stupid “Polarr Pro” ad which you have to look at every time you open the app without an account. I swear I have to log in again every other day if not sometimes within the same day, seems to log you out at random, which brings me to problem three.ģ. It logs you out seemingly every couple hours. From high precision color tools to advanced clarity and dehaze filters, Polarr brings professional photo editing tools to your mobile device With nearly 1. Instead of being able to blur/ fix blemishes they now have the much less flexible face retouch feature.Ģ. The app is currently running 14.99 with a thirty-day. #POLARR PHOTO EDITOR REVIEWS WINDOWS 10#It used to have more editing options, they majorly cut down on them. Polarr Photo Editor is easily one of the top four or five photo editors in the Windows 10 Store for those looking for pro-styled features. There are four major issues I have with this app:ġ. I felt very loyal to Polarr and truly disappointed. It’s rare that I leave reviews, especially negative ones, but there honestly isn’t anything I like in the new update. Why would I use Polarr if the design is similar to what already exists in Apple installed software? Or similar to another app on the marketplace? Not only is the layout of the editing capabilities now more obstructive, you can’t even rotate the screen! It’s very annoying to edit all my photos in a vertical view, rather than landscape. The new UI is now very similar to most interfaces I’ve seen in the marketplace (including the editing software in Apple Photos), which not only removes a key differentiator of Polarr, it also leaves it feeling clunky. I don’t understand why Polarr changed the UI so dramatically and to such a poor design. I used the app multiple times a week to edit photos for a small business I work for. The UI design was intelligent and intuitive. It offers filters and unique features that are able to make your photos look. #POLARR PHOTO EDITOR REVIEWS UPGRADE#$2.49 per month or $23.99 per year.Polarr was by far my favorite photo editing app in the market, and I was happy to upgrade to Pro. App description: The Polarr Photo Editor is a different kind of photo editor. #POLARR PHOTO EDITOR REVIEWS PRO#You can subscribe to get access to all filters and pro tools offered within Polarr Photo Editor.

This lack of supply combined with rise in demands has led to the rise in barrel pricing. Speaking of oak, the lack of abundance in supply has caused a shortage of barrels overall in parts of the U.S. The necessary creation of new barrels for the multitude of whiskey producers has led to a rise in general market value of barrels, specifically oak. All whiskey require some form of wooden barrel for aging. First, whiskey is more popular than ever. There are multiple factors that can encourage barrel costs to rise. Like many products on the market, whiskey is not immune to the costs of production experiencing volatility over time. While age is just a number and does not always mean the whiskey will be better, the very expensive whiskies are usually well aged or very rare. Imagine, making a product and not being able to sell it until 20 years from now - it would have to be a very expensive product to make up for all the whiskey you could have produced in that time frame. If a whiskey producer is aging a particular whiskey for 20 years, that means the barrel is tied up for 20 years. Primarily, very well aged whiskies (like 20+ years) are very limited productions. While not necessarily an indicator of quality, age can lead to an increase in price for a variety of reasons. Bourbons are produced in warmer regions, therefore, are often found “younger” on shelves than Scotch whiskies produced in the cool climate of Scotland are. Warmer climates lend themselves to quicker aging, while cooler climates require a longer time in the barrel to perfect the aging process. Barrel aging to its optimum age can be expedited by the regional climate and type of barrel the whiskey is in. AgingĪs discussed earlier, the age of a whiskey does not necessarily indicate its quality. What is it about each whiskey that causes such fluctuations in price point? Here, we will look at several factors that drive the cost of whiskey products. As you can see in the chart above, whiskey pricing goes from minimal (budget) to average (standard) to high (premium) cost levels.
